Remember Who You Once Were
“Bone by bone, hair by hair, Wild Woman comes back. Through night dreams, through events half understood and half remembered…” ― Clarissa Pinkola Estés,
At some point you wake up and felt in everything that you have become alienated from yourself. Do you leave it that way out of fear or do you dare to explore your hidden self? The beginning of a transformation, allowing you to reconnect with your original self. A shift in your consciousness. Shifting your attention from the outer world to your inner world.
Going back inside to find your inner silence, which is the place where you can be yourself and feel whole, calm and balanced. By connecting with your inner self, you recharge. This can be anywhere, it is not a physical place and is independent of time and space. Take the time and make the time to go back to your inner place where you feel protected and safe. Detached from the outside world and its many demands.
Feel the strength to grow into who you once were. Reclaiming that power is a struggle. Letting go of who you were taught to be and coming to who you really are. It is like being born again, the birth of your new self and at the same time your old self dies. In doing so, you regain your freedom and reconnect with your instinctive nature, your wild self.
Clarissa Pinkola Estes wrote the book: 'Women who run with the wolves'. It is an important source of inspiration for my work.
